COTES Engineering recruits new talent in the power industry

  • 17.03.2017

Together with its partner, Eurotechlab, COTES Engineering presented a professional orientation workshop devoted to modern technologies in environmental emission monitoring to the students of the Faculty of Power Engineering at the Novosibirsk State Technical University. Today, the CEO of Eurotechlab Company (Saint Petersburg), Vladimir Shevchenko, addressed the four-year degree students alongside 1st and 2nd year master degree students studying “Thermal Power Plants” and “Health, Safety, Environment” at the Faculty of Power Engineering.

Mr. Shevchenko presented a brief introduction to current laws and regulations concerning environmentally friendly production, and detailed existing trends in the development of relevant codes and standards. The report on modern technologies for environmental emission monitoring focused on automated systems for the monitoring of atmospheric pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions from Fuel & Energy Complex facilities.

Mr. Shevchenko talked about state-of-the-art developments by Eurotechlab in this area, and gave examples of completed projects with explanations for future professionals as to the complexities and peculiarities of resolving atypical situations with regards to the installation and operation of monitoring systems.

After the workshop, several standout students were invited to pass on-the-job training in the summer of 2017 at COTES Engineering under the superintendence of Eurotechlab and to take part in forthcoming projects on designs for off-gas monitoring systems, as well as automatic water chemistry monitoring systems within a production facility in Siberia.
